Package: git-buildpackage
Version: 0.2.29
Severity: normal
Hi,
While trying to build the nv driver for Xorg git tree, I got the following
error:
xserver-xorg-video-nv$ git-buildpackage --git-upstream-branch=upstream-unstable
--git-debian-branch=debian-unstable
dh_testdir
dh_testroot
rm -f build-stamp
rm -f config.cache config.log config.status
rm -f */config.cache */config.log */config.status
rm -f conftest* */conftest*
rm -rf autom4te.cache */autom4te.cache
rm -rf obj-*
dh_clean
xserver-xorg-video-nv_1:2.0.2.orig.tar.gz does not exist, creating from branch
'upstream-unstable'
This package has a Debian revision number but there does not seem to be
an appropriate original tar file or .orig directory in the parent directory;
(expected xserver-xorg-video-nv_2.0.2.orig.tar.gz or xserver-xorg-video-nv.orig)
continue anyway? (y/n)
It looks like git-buildpackage generates a .orig.tar.gz file with an epoch
in the filename while dpkg-buildpackage does not expect it to do so.
