Your package fails to build with GCC 4.3. Version 4.3 has not been
released yet but I'm building with a snapshot in order to find errors
and give people an advance warning. The way integer overflow is
treated will change with GCC 4.3, and there's a bug in older versions
of autoconf as to how a working mktime is checked. This bug means
that there will be an infinite loop during configuration checking for
a working mktime. You therefore need to update your autoconf scripts.
See
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/autoconf-patches/2006-12/msg00100.html
for some background on this problem.
You can reproduce this problem with gcc-snapshot from unstable.
(Currently not available for i386, but for amd64, powerpc and ia64. I
hope to have i386 binaries in the archive in the near future.)
