Hi,
When, as suggested, a2dpd is started as user, the following happens:

I have not clue what this sa_data contains but is nothing like my local
address or the remote address:
$ hcitool dev
Devices:
hci0 00:0D:88:C0:33:94
$ grep address .a2dprc
# Your bluetooth headset address
address=00:0A:94:A1:4F:E0
Any clues? As root it starts. Oh yes, I am in the following groups:
hendrik dialout cdrom floppy audio video plugdev netdev fuse
Something in the setup description is missing.

Hello,
It works fine for me when a2dpd is running form plain user account, so
I'm closing this.
Regards,
