Package: debtags
Version: 0.99.4
Severity: wishlist
Hello Enrico,
Today I have installed debtags to update my own packages but
since I have NO internet (WEB) connection debtags is useless.
So my wish is: PLEASE add a possibility to install the
tags-current.gz from a local location. (I mean, someone can
download it from another computer, put it into a directory
and run for example
debtags --file ./tags-current.gz update
or
debtags -f ./tags-current.gz update
-f or --file should force "update" to use the file instead of
trying to connect to the Internet.
Thanks and Greetings

Since recent versions, debtags uses the tags found in the apt Packages
files, and by default does not try a download on update. It should
therefore be well useable while offline.

Enrico
