Package: ebtables
Version: 2.0.6-3
Severity: wishlist
Upstream has released rc3 of version 2.0.8, this version as well of some of
the RCs that have been released since 2.0.6, the version we have now at
Debian have included some new options that can be interesting for a lot of
people.
I'd suggest this new version to be packaged, not for etch, we are already
frozen, but for the next version, packaging this for unstable or
experimental seems a good idea.
If current maintainer doesn't have the time for packaging newer versions I'm
offering myself for taking up the package.
Regards!

Description:
ebtables - Ethernet bridge frame table administration
Closes: 403674 428924
Changes:
ebtables (2.0.8.1-1) unstable; urgency=low
.
* New upstream release. Closes: #428924, #403674.
(428924: FTBFS with linux-libc-dev)
(403674: wishlist bug: new upstream available)
* Bump Standards version to 3.7.2.
* Replace debhelper+cdbs with debhelper+dpatch (personal
preference).
* Write a debian-specific initscript. The upstream one is
too closely tied to redhat.
* Add a lintian override concerning the usage of -rpath for the
time being, as fixing this will require invasive upstream
code changes.
* Fix watch file.
* Add myself as uploader.
