Package: debianutils
Version: 2.15.2

Description: when having a URL in Openoffice, clicking on the URL causes
sensible-browser to be called to open the URL. At least on my KDE system
(version see below), the konqueror browser is fired up. For the duration of
konqueror being up and running, Openoffice is stalled.

The new version of the sensible-browser script daemonizes the called browser,
thus calling the browser while keeping Openoffice unlocked.

One caveat though which is present in the original and this new script: the
konqeror browser process is not terminated if the konqueror window is
closed. /usr/bin/x-www-browser is lingering. When
calling /usr/bin/x-www-browser directly, the process is immediately
terminated when the window is closed. I did not figure out what causes this
behavior (closing all file descriptors between 0 and 100 in the
sensible-browser script does not help).

konqueror 3.5.1-1
