A couple of things that could be improved:
the libapache-mod-ssl-docs README.Debian ought to be in the main
package. It's sort of useless to have 0 documentation in the main
package. We're talking about 3kb here...
More importantly though, mod-ssl should attempt to use the
/etc/apache/conf.d directory present in recent apache installs, to at
least get some of the configuration done automatically.

This package has been removed from Debian unstable. I'm therefore
