Package: gnome-terminal
Version: 2.18.1-1
Severity: normal

I have a dsl internet connection, and I could realize that when it is down
gnome-terminal can't run,
or lasts a very long time (minutes) to run.

This is a misconfiguration of your system. Check /etc/hosts and your
lo interface. You can diagnose the issue by stracing gnome-terminal.
