Subject: screen: -X stuff doesnt work (only after an attach)
Package: screen
Version: 4.0.2-4.1
Severity: normal

*** Please type your report below this line ***

to reproduce the bug, run the following commands:

start a screen session in the background:
  screen -dmS test

send the text "testmessage" to that session
screen -S test -X stuff testmessage

bring the session to the foreground
  screen -r test

now you should see the text "textmessage" after your prompt, but it is
not there. now detach from that session (C-a d) then send the
testmessage again:
screen -S test -X stuff testmessage

now go back into the test session:
  screen -r test

Now you can see "testmesasge" where it should be.

thats a bug, because it should have worked the first time too.

The bug I reported before is not a bug. The solution is to give the
-p<WINDOWNUMBER> option to screen.
