Package: xfce4-mcs-manager
Version: 4.3.99.2-1
Severity: important
I installed the xfce4, logged in, tried to open the settings, nothing
happened.
Then I started xfce-mcs-manager in a terminal and got this:
$ xfce-mcs-manager
(xfce-mcs-manager:22937): libxfce4util-WARNING **: Invalid
XDG_CONFIG_HOME directory `/home/tkeitel/.config', program may behave
incorrectly.
(xfce-mcs-manager:22937): libxfce4mcs-CRITICAL **:
mcs_manager_set_string: assertion `value != NULL' failed
Segmentation fault
The settings don't work, rendering xfce4 qite unusable for me.

Well the error message was fairly explicit.
.config is a namespace of sorts. It's the standard XDG location.
There are many specs on freedesktop.org
Glad you got this sorted though.
Simon.
