Please note: this may be an apt-get upgrade bug. For this reason I am
including the second report as well. There are further bugs in the upgrade
which are due to these bugs and I am trying to figure out how to subnmit them
as well.

This bug was fixed in versions 1.2.4-4 and -5. Coincidentally, -5 has
entered testing today, so this bug should never happen again.

Thanks,
