When %e is in an autoprofile and the associated executable outputs a
non-ascii character (such as ó), it simply stops printing. For instance,
if the executable prints
Listening to <i> Sigur Rós - Intro</i>.
then the autoprofile will show
Listening to .
and if the executable omits the italic markup, the autoprofile shows
nothing at all.
On the other hand, simply pasting the "ó" into the autoprofile instead
of using %e shows up just fine. Could this be a bug in whatever string
handling function deals with replacing the executable's output?

This package has been removed from Debian unstable. I'm therefore
closing this bug report. The package has been removed because it
is abandoned upstream, not compatible with pidgin.
