With a working CUPS setup I killed xprint and lpr/lprng once and for
all. The result is that firefox now takes about 10 seconds to
display the print/print preview/page setup dialog. Also, while
printing, anything you do in Firefox, including switching to another
window and giving focus back to FF takes 10 seconds.
Printing works fine otherwise. There is no console output.

If I remove the xprint package it takes about a full minute for the print dialog come up, reinstalling the package
fixes the problem. But since I always use my cups printer it is annoying to have the extra listings and firefox
doesn't save the default printer so it must be re-selected everytime.
Are you still seeing this in the latest version of iceweasel?
No it is fixed for sometime now, we can close the bug.
