Frankly, I'm not certain whether or not this is a Metacity but, bug
here's the problem I'm experiencing:

When using MergedFB for the Radeon driver in Xorg 7.0, all windows open
maximized. This only happens, however, when no second monitor has been
attached. If a second monitor is attached and X is restarted, windows
open normally.

No problem, if it doesn't exist on Ubuntu, it probably doesn't on Debian
either. I will close the bug.
