Package: libmagic1
Version: 4.15-2
Severity: important
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your recent upload that corrected the FHS issue with the
paths for magic, magic.mime, et al. Unfortunately, file and libmagic1
are not the only packages which need to know the path to this file (php4
is another one, at least -- bug #334510), and you've left no transition
path in place for users of these packages. Please add compatibility
symlinks for the magic* files in the old directory, so that partial
upgrades will be possible between sarge and etch.

This is about woody->sarge, so no longer of interest, hence closing.
