Package: kdevelop3
Version: 4:3.2.0-3
Severity: important
GnuCash (gnucash-gnome2-dev branch) was imported OK (v.v.v.slowly) but
re-opening the same project caused KDevelop3 to be busy for 30 minutes
without even getting passed loading the project plugins. Simply
unacceptable.
Trying to re-import the project as new didn't improve anything. It seems
that it can cope with small projects or limited CVS checkouts but as
soon as there are more than 100 source files, it cannot cope. Even with
a clean checkout, it STILL took too long to load - a full 3 minutes. As
soon as I start compiling any files, it becomes sluggish and confused -
e.g. it suddenly decided that the project no longer had any CVS.
KDevelop simply needs to scale better, not everyone can work on 5 minute
projects, some people need to work on large applications and KDevelop
should support those too.

Sorry I haven't replied to this one. I've since migrated away from KDE
and stopped upstream development of GnuCash so I'm not able to test 3.4
- I'm now using Gnome and Anjuta for my own upstream projects.
Closing the bug report as it isn't a problem for me anymore.
