Package: dbus-glib-1
Version: 0.23.4-1
Severity: minor

While experimenting with beagle I discovered that there is only a
softlink to (from?) libdbus-glib-1.so.0:

degenatron:/usr/local/lib# ls -l /usr/lib/libdbus-glib-1*
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root    23 Apr 29 14:51 /usr/lib/libdbus-glib-1.so.0 ->
libdbus-glib-1.so.0.0.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 43364 Apr  5 23:12 /usr/lib/libdbus-glib-1.so.0.0.0

beagled won't start because it cannot find libdbus-glib-1.so. Setting a
softlink solves this problem.

Hi,

I just learned that so-links are only for development purposes. An
application shouldn't be linked to an unversioned library. So the error
must be somewhere else. I couldn't find any direct reference to
libdbus-glib-1.so in the beagle sources.

Greetings,

Holger
