Hello All, I have install debian etch
and I have immediatly update it in lenny
I have install nm-applet
but when it's running nothing happening.
If I running it in console every each 3 secondes it show the next message :
** (nm-applet:14749): WARNING **: <WARN> nma_dbus_init(): could not
acquire its
service. dbus_bus_acquire_service() says: 'Connection ":1.30" is not
allowed t
o own the service "org.freedesktop.NetworkManagerInfo" due to security
policies
in the configuration file
My I understand nothing
Friends say me that I need to add me on the "netdev" group
It's true and now nm-applet work perfectly.
I propose that you change the error message in " you need to add your
user at the 'netdev' group". I propose that this message is showed on on
a popup windows becose when nm-applet is only run in X by exemple at
gnome startup absolutly nothing happening.
thank you :)

Why not read /usr/share/network-manager-gnome/README.Debian.
If a package is not working right out of the box, looking at its
README.Debian file is always a good idea.
Cheers,
