Package: awstats
Version: 6.2-1
Severity: wishlist
As I host my blog on my website, I get lots of access from blog readers, with
various user-agents that are not recognised by awstats. They fall into two
categories:
- desktop blog readers/aggregators: Liferea, Blam, Straw, Thunderbird,
possibly others;
- aggregator robots: Planet (such as what powers planet.debian.org),
Bloglines, and so on.
By running "grep /index.php/archives/category/geek/rss2 blog-access.log |
cut -c120- | sort -u" on my web server, I got the following list of
user agents:
Straw/0.25.1
UniversalFeedParser/3.3 +http://feedparser.org/
ConveraCrawler/0.4
Bloglines/2.0 (http://www.bloglines.com; 1 subscriber)
Planet JD +http://www.davidpashley.com/planet/ Planet/1.0~pre1
+http://www.planetplanet.org UniversalFeedParser/3.3 +http://feedparser.org/
Planet Debian +http://planet.debian.org/ Planet/1.0~pre1
+http://www.planetplanet.org UniversalFeedParser/3.3 +http://feedparser.org/
I suggest adding these user-agents to Awstats.
Roland.

It seems to me this bug has been fixed by the 6.5 and 6.7 upstream
releases, which have entered Debian quite some time ago. I'm
therefore closing this bug report.
Roland.
