Package: ri-li-data
Version: 2.0.0-2
Severity: minor

Updating on a ws that has little space. on installation the system uses the
reserved space on / partition.
so the program says:

********
The following packages will be upgraded:
  ri-li-data
1 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
1 not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 0B/19.0MB of archives.
After unpacking 4096B disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]?
(Reading database ... 168878 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace ri-li-data 2.0.0-2 (using
.../ri-li-data_2.0.0-4_all.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement ri-li-data ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/ri-li-data_2.0.0-4_all.deb
(--unpack):
 failed in buffer_write(fd) (9, ret=-1): backend dpkg-deb during
`./usr/share/games/ri-li/Ri-li/language.Tu': No space left on device
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/ri-li-data_2.0.0-4_all.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
*********

But there is still [reserved] space available ! that will be user space
after the .deb is removed
anyway: it would be welcome an option on dselect "delete .deb files as soon
they are installed"

This is not a bug with ri-li-data. I suggest you to take a look on dpkg
instead:
http://bugs.debian.org/dpkg

And of course dselect:
http://bugs.debian.org/dselect

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=15865
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=343578
