Hi.. Here are a couple of ideas for cruft (as solicited in the manpage).
How about having it display orphaned *-doc or *-dev packages. (It can be
hard, when deleting, to make sure you delete all the pieces of a package.
You can delete the '*-doc' while missing the '*-dev', or vice versa..
It would also be nice if it could mention to you that you have installed
the *, but you missed the *-dev or *-doc packages. I've been bit by this
where I thought I had *-dev, but I didn't and failed to compile my own
program.
To make this a little more general, for each package that's installed or
not installed, it would be nice to see a list of all installed packages
which reccomend it, and, if it's installed, a list of all packages it
reccomends that aren't installed.
With 4000+ packages sitting in the repository, it can be hard to keep
track of things like this.
