Package: irssi-text
Version: 0.8.9-1
Severity: wishlist
File: /usr/bin/irssi-text

Hello.

I'm almost sure that irssi worked somehow different some time ago.
But I'm not sure for 100% so it's wishlist.

My bugreport is related to copy&paste feature in X. Since other programs
work fine, I'm reporting it against irssi.

Let's say I have opened window on some channel.
Let's say someone has wrote the following line:

13:05 <@someone> http://take.a.look.at.this.fantastic.url.org :))

Then as usually I click left mouse button and move it over this url to mark
it. Then I change active window to Firefox and I'm trying to paste it.
There are two opportunities:

1) someone else wrote another line so channel window looks like this:

13:05 <@someone> http://take.a.look.at.this.fantastic.url.org :))
13:06 <dude> yeah great link, thanks

If it occures then I can't paste marked url to Firefox. My clipboard is
empty.

2) nobody has written another line

Then I can paste my marked url wherever I want. It stops working if
situation 1) occures.

I know my English is poor, but I hope you know what am I writing about ;)

In sum:
Seems that irssi behaves wrong if new line appears in channel window. Other
programs (even xterm) can remember what has been marked.
