Package: hal
Version: 0.5.9.1-4
Severity: normal

In Ubuntu Gutsy the applet works. I tried the tribe 5 live cd and the
applet was working. There was problem using the keyboard keys to control
the brightness, but when upgrading to the latest packages they worked
too. I tried to upgrade gnome-power-manager using ubuntu's packages, but
that did not solve the problem. Under Debian keyboard shortcuts work
fine and I can change the brightness using xbacklight. The laptop has
Intel 965GM Express Chipset.

Hello,

This bug is fixed when using the new kernel image from
http://kernel-archive.buildserver.net/debian-kernel/. I'm
closing this bug even though the package is not in Debian,
because it seem that the bug is not in hal, but in the
kernel-image package.

Best regards,
Hristo Hristov
