When I try to spell check words with accent openwebmail devides the word 
(ex: poss�vel apears as |poss| � |vel|)

sniffing the connection I notice that poss�vel is send as 
dictionary=portuguese&field=body&form=composeform&htmlmode=&sessionid=artur*-session-0.104611076022596&string=poss%EDvel
