Package: f-spot
Version: 0.0.10-1
Severity: important

I recently tried to use f-spot to process my digital photos, as it was
quick to display the images to decide if I should keep them or not,
and provided a convenient way to insert comments about the images.
But after a short while, I discovered that the wrong image was deleted
when I used the meny to remove the image from disk. I'm not quite
sure how to reproduce it.

It seemed to delete an image close to the image I selected, like the
one before or after the selected image. I didn't investigate much, as
I wanted to keep my images, and my trust in the program was no longer
there. (Luckily I hadn't deleted the images from the memory stick
yet, so I didn't loose any images.)

Someone should fix f-spot to make sure it always delete the correct
images. I dare not use it for that any more. I still use it to look
at images, though, as it is one of the quicker ways to do this. :)

This is a bug against a very very old version of f-spot, with no
follow-ups in almost three years, no further reports, and upstream have
marked the forwarded bug closed.

They merged it with another bug about fullscreen mode where users could
accidentally delete the wrong image. It is vaguely possible that this
was the problem, and this was fixed a year ago as well.

So, I'll close this.
