Severity: normal

Hi,

when I connect to a web page that requires authentication (for example
http://people.debian.org/~zugschlus/protected/), links prints the 401
error message web page, but does not prompt for user name/password.
This is behavior I would not expect from a web browser.

links on woody does the right thing.

The same bug applies to links-ssl as well.

Greetings
Marc
