So the problem is that each boost package (e.g. libboost-date-time1.34.1) 
has an undeclared conflict with a package of the same name suffixed by
"-2" (i.e. libboost-date-time1.34.1-2).

Olaf confirms that he obtained the "-2" package from an experimental
upload (as Domenico had surmised):

Domenico expressed doubt that it is worthwhile adding conflicts &
replaces for an experimental-only package.  I tend to agree, so I'm
closing this report.
