Package: hylafax-server
Version: 2:4.3.1-7
Severity: important
File: /etc/init.d/hylafax

*faxgetty* does not detach (dissassociate) from the terminal that invoked
*/etc/init.d/hylafax start*. This behavior is un-daemon-like and leads to
the inscrutable situation that */etc/init.d/hylafax start* invoked at a
*root* prompt will succeed. However, *gksu /etc/init.d/hylfax start* will
fail. It will leave *faxq* and *hfaxd* running, but *faxgetty* will die
when *gksu* dies. Perhaps *faxgetty* ought to be invoked with its
-D option. Here's a patch against */etc/init.d/hylafax*:

< FAXGETTY=/usr/sbin/faxgetty
---
> FAXGETTY="/usr/sbin/faxgetty -D"
