Package: f-spot
Version: 0.1.11-1
Severity: wishlist

The F-spot screensaver option chooses the photos to be used in the screensaver
based upon their tag type. If a user has not tagged any photos, then the
screensaver displays the Gnome warning icon with the message "No images
selected" (or similar).

F-spot should by default choose all photos, and have that option in the
drop-down list in the Preferences dialog.

Version: 0.4.1-1

I'm closing this bug. At the time it was filed, there was no way of
choosing to use all photos in the F-Spot screensaver. Since version
0.4.0, there is a radio button in the Preferences dialog, so users can
choose to enable this.

As mentioned by Mirco in the bug comments, displaying all photos by
default could be unwanted; some users let the screensaver be chosen at
random, so there would be a chance that their private photos get
displayed publically without their having asked for it.

If there are still concerns about the user-friendliness of having a big
GNOME warning sign by default, perhaps a bug should be opened upstream.
I'm not so worried about that, having giving it some thought, because
there is at least an accompanying explanation of how to remove it.
