Package: yacpi
Version: 3.0-2
Severity: normal
In Linux 2.6.24, the ACPI interface changed again, moving many
statistics from /proc to /sys/devices/ and /sys/class(....
yacpi doesn't show battery information without the necessary
changes. AFAIK the Debian kernel packagers want to resurrect
the compatibility /proc interface, but only temporarily.
(see: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=463253)
So yacpi should be modified nevertheless. I run it everyday,
it's crucial for my mood :)

Changes:
libacpi (0.2-3) unstable; urgency=low

* Temporary patch libacpi to make battery and ac status work with
kernels >= 2.6.24. There will be a fixed upstream version
which uses sysfs and procfs as fallback soon. Many thanks
to Joseph Spillner for the patch! (Closes: #463986, #463982).
