Frequently when ktorrent is running in the foreground, xorg crashes, or more
accuratly freezes. The logs for xorg whichb i could find said nothing
useful/intersting which indicated a problem .
it does this only when ktorrent is in the foreground. and occasionally when
ktorrent is running in the background/system tray etc.
obviously it is very annoying when xorg can only be killed via ssh etc.
I am unsure about how to procede diagnostics, but would be ahappy to help if
contacted.

I've never experienced anything like this with 2.2.x series (I've used it a
lot). The only solution I can offer for you is to upgrade to a more recent
version. etch backport of 2.2.4.dfsg.1-1 is available here:
