Package: ntp
Version: 4.1.2a-1
I installed testing (sarge) a couple of days ago.
I wanted to install ntp on my box (via dselect). It requested
ntp-simple too, and debconf asked me for ntp servers.
I entered my ntp server (another computer of course), and then it
told me that I had already a config file (which was not the case),
and asked me if I wanted to replace the current config file.
I tried to reply yes, y, Y, YES, but debconf kept kept asking me
this question until I just press the return key (I didn't try no :)).
As I was curious I immediatly looked for the config files.
I didn't find any /etc/ntp.conf file nor /etc/default/ntp-servers,
but ntp is running...
Regards,
Patrice Fortier.

For some time now, the ntp packages don't use debconf anymore.
Therefore closing..
