Package: xosview
Version: 1.8.2-9
Severity: normal

With kernel 2.6, xosview cannot access the lm_sensors temperature data,
as the appropriate path is hardcoded and changed from kernel 2.4's

  /proc/sys/sys/dev/sensors/*

to

  /sys/devices/*/*/i2c-0/*

in kernel 2.6 (at least in 2.6.16-2-686).

With

  xosview*lmstemp: True
  xosview*lmstemp1: temp
  xosview*lmstemp2: remote_temp

xosview complains:

Can not find file : /proc/sys/dev/sensors/*/temp
Can not find file : /proc/sys/dev/sensors/*/remote_temp

Using

  xosview*lmstemp1:
/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:07.3/i2c-0/0-002d/temp2_input

didn't work, xosview printed:

  Can not find file :
/proc/sys/dev/sensors/*//sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:07.3/i2c-0/0-002d/temp2_input

Suggested remedy
----------------

Add a resource

  xosview*lmspath

which in my case would contain

  /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:07.3/i2c-0/0-002d

and make xosview*lmstemp{1,2,...} relative to this path.

Additionally, if there are multiple busses, you could also allow
defining absolute file names for lmstemp{1,2,...}.
