Package: backuppc
Version: 3.0.0-3
I changed topDir in /etc/backuppc/config.pl but backuppc keeps writing data
to /var/lib/backuppc/pc
changing DataDir in /etc/init.d/backuppc did not help either.
if new topDir is on different device this causes
BackupPC_link got error -4 when calling MakeFileLink
this may lead to data loss, I'm not expecting data to be written to the old
place.
Workaround:
link from /var/lib/backuppc -> newTopDir

Hi !
I close this bug since that "feature" is documented in README.Debian.
You have to mount your filesystem to /var/lib/backuppc, use a 'bind'
mount or a symlink.
