Package: rsync
Version: 2.6.2-1
Severity: normal
Hello,
I am rsyncing an ISO image between this machine and gluck.debian.org,
running rsync 2.5.5-0.4, via ssh.
I am making some assorted small changes to an ISO image. This should be
a perfect use for rsync. However, it refuses to do anything other than
transmit the entire file when I try to upload and update an image.
However, if I try to download and update a stored copy of the old image,
it works as expected. I am using the same args either way, namely:
-v -v -a -e ssh -P

3.0.0 has now come out, and recent versions take special actions to
optimize the block size for very large files, so I'm confident that this
problem is now a thing of the past; hence now closing this bug.
