Hello maintainer,

While performing an archive wide checkbashisms (from the 'devscripts' package)
check I've found your package containing a /bin/sh script making
use of a bashism.

checkbashisms' output:
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/colorit line 19 (echo -e):
>    echo -en "\
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/colorit line 33 (echo -e):
>     echo -en "\
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/colorit line 81 (should be 'b = a'):
>             if (ARGV [i] == "--help"){
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/colorit line 85 (should be 'b = a'):
>             if (ARGV [i] == "--version"){
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/colorit line 89 (should be 'b = a'):
>             if (ARGV [i] == "--config" || ARGV [i] == "-c"){
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/colorit line 102 ('function' is useless):
>     function do_esc (s){
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/colorit line 107 ('function' is useless):
>     function do_unquote (s) {
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/colorit line 115 ('function' is useless):
>     function process_config_mark (       ok, arr){
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/colorit line 131 ('function' is useless):
>     function process_config_gensub (       ok, arr){
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/colorit line 147 ('function' is useless):
>     function process_config_line (){
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/colorit line 168 ('function' is useless):

Not using bash as /bin/sh would lead to errors. Please be aware that although
bash is currently the default /bin/sh there's a release goal for Lenny to
make dash the default /bin/sh[1].

If you want more information about dash as /bin/sh, you can read:
