The correct way for this patch is via upstream. 
Post it on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailinglist and wait for a reply. 
If upstream include this I'll do so too. 

The same for the support for adding new vfs'es automatically. Please 
provide a patch and submit it upstream. I'll stick with the current 
behaviour until there is something other in upstreams CVS.
