Hi,
In
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bidentd/+bug/75981
it was reported that the bidentd postinst would fail if update-inetd
was not available. The patch available at
http://patches.ubuntu.com/b/bidentd/bidentd_1.1.1-1ubuntu1.patch
fixes that. I include the patch inline at the end of this
mail for your convenience.
It also adds a dependency on openbsd-inetd | inet-superserver as
the person that did the patch said that bidentd cannot work
without an inetd.
Thanks,
James
