Package: xsane
Version: 0.995-1
Severity: important
When I press the button Acquire Preview xsane crashes with a segfault.
The used driver is pixma for the Canon MP600.
Curiously when I call xsane within KDE the crash of xsane also crashes
the whole KDE. The system falls back to KDM. I also have to restart KDM,
because otherwise the font in the terminal windows (konsole,
xfce4-terminal, etc.) is not displayed.
When I call xsane at the console with DISPLAY=:0 xsane then xsane
crashes without impact to other applications.
