I would like to see a feature in centericq to allow you to connect to a
server that requires a password. Some places take the server name as
server:port:password, this might be an option for centericq. People wont
use it unless they know what theyre doing (as most servers dont want a
password).
It should be easy enough to do, all you have to do is give some way of
inputting the password string, then send "PASS xxx" before the USER/NICK
commands are sent when connecting to irc server.
I tried to do it myself, but my lack of C++ knowledge got me stuck. :(
