Package: mordor
Version: 6.66a-3
Severity: normal
I've installed on Sid the available version of mordor. I copied all of
the sample files from /var/games/mordor/sample to /var/games/mordor
using cp -ar to preserve permissions/ownwership.
I then attempted to log into the Tesseract player with the password
stealme. This login attempt fails, as does an attempt to log into any of
the other sample players.
Creating new characters, quitting and logging back in works, so they
seem to write and read the password the same way. I did a comparison
between the sample Tesseract player file and a new player file with the
same password using the mordor-plist -p command.
Name: Tesseract (stealme)
Class: Dungeonmaster (1) Human
Name: Telar (ûstealme)
Class: Bard (1) Half-elf
It looks like the mordor-plist program doesn't read the passwords the
same way mordor is because I am able to login to Telar with stealme. I
am not able to login to Tesseract.
P.s. thanks for your work putting this package into Debian. Looking at
the diff and README's I see it wasn't a small change.
