Package: tkirc
Versione: 1.202-6
Using azzurranet (an Italian irc net), to obtain invite in certain channels
we use chanserv bot.
Sending "/msg chanserv invite #channame", chanserv invites and _auto-joins_
me in #channame, tkirc cannot detect it and does not open a new win for this
#chan. Main window show me that I am in chan (showing topic and Co.), /who
command tells I am present in chan but tkirc can't 'feel' it, and I can't
read/write chan.
ircII CAN handle chanserv correctly, so I suppose it is tkirc problem.
When chanserv auto-invites only after authentication with passwd (no auto-join
is made and no "/msg chanserv ..." is needed), tkirc notify that I am invited
in #channame and asked me if I wanted to join #channame in which I was
invited. I expect something like that behavior, or at least a correct
auto-join.
I don't know tk, so I can't suggest a patch.
There aren't logs or error msgs that show this bug, tkirc's log seems to be
correct, but I am simply not in channel I wanted to be in, but server
consider me in.
I use Potato, updated to december 17 1999 (tkirc_1.202-6 ircII_4.4L-6
tk4.2_4.2p2-7 tk8.0_8.0.5-5).
Thanks.
bye,
KA.

The tkirc package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/328601 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
