Package: initng
Version: 0.1.8-1

I just tested initng on a LTSP thin client based on debian/sarge after
rebuilding from source, and the boot did not succeed. I hoped to
speed up the thin client boot time. :)

It got to this point before it started printing the last statement
over and over:

  Configuring system to use udev
  waiting for /dev/zero to appere
  waiting for /dev/zero to appere
  waiting for /dev/zero to appere
  waiting for /dev/zero to appere
  waiting for /dev/zero to appere

As I was booting with kernel 2.4.27-2-386, which only support devfs
and not udev, I was surprised to see that it tried to enable udev.

Any idea how to get this working with a 2.4 kernel?

PS: 'appere' must be a typo. I suspect it should read 'appear'

The initng package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/435127 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
