When gnotepad+ is asked to open a file /root/.bashrc from the File menu
or Open toolbar icon, it does not open it. When it is asked to open the
file from the command line "gnp /root/.bashrc" it works fine.
The same is true of any "dot" file I tried.

The gnotepad+ package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read

this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
