hello,
the mails sent by scandetd never get anywhere on my system
because it uses a malformed helo line and i've configured
postfix to reject such mails because they have been
all spam up to now. a configuration script or somesuch
should probably change the helo address used to the current
fqdn.
otoh, it seems silly to me that it is using smtp at all, when the
normal unix way is to talk to /usr/lib/sendmail... (not everyone is
running smtp) but i guess that would be a bigger change.

against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read

this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
