When a note loses focus, it moves down and to the right by the
difference between the upper left of the window with window manager
decorations and the upper left of the window without window manager
decorations.
The relevant code seems to be goat_set_position in goat.c and
goat_window_mapped_cb in goat-callbacks.c.
Though I don't understand the theory behind it, I found that calling
gtk_window_set_gravity(window, GDK_GRAVITY_STATIC) at the beginning of
goat_window_mapped_cb helped in the version I recompiled.

The goats package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/290920 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
