Package: sattrack
Version: 3.1.6-8

SatTrack insists on writing its output to a file which it is not allowed
to write to, producing the following error message and then aborting:

  cannot open output file /var/lib/SatTrack/pred/AO-10

This can be reproduced as follows:
- start sattrack
- say no to the question about registration
- accept the defaults for ground station (Emeryville), satellite (AO-10)
  and TLE file (tlex.dat)
- choose <P>rediction
- choose <S>hort format (but <L>ong has the same problem)
- choose output to <F>ile

I suggest SatTrack be modified such that it asks for a filename, instead of
guessing one.

I'm using Debian 2.2 (potato), kernel 2.2.16, libc 2.1.3, libm 2.1.3.

The sattrack package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/325363 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
