Package: freenet6
Version: 0.9.6-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

I am trying to get IPv6 running. Without much clue as I have to admit.

I had a closer look at tspc which is said to set up IPv6 routing on dialup.

The script /etc/freenet6/setup.sh has some lines to start radvd at its end
which are
commented out ($START_RADVD woould be really cool). Anyways: if you delete the
hashes
radvd still does not start properly.

The reason is that setup then starts radvd as user radvd which does not
neccessarily
exist.

Solution:

Delete "-u radvd" in setup.sh or even better: create an user "radvd" as the
first
solution makes running radvd as root.

Hmm: this might be interesting for the maintainer of radvd as well.

Comments on that? Since my scripting skill is little below zero, I cannot
include a decent
patch. Sorry for that.

Thank you for your contribution, sincerely,

Sebastian

The freenet6 package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
