Package: teapop-mysql
Version: 0.3.5-2
Severity: normal
I'm not even sure this is a bug, but I somehow feel so.
Authentication for virtual htpasswd-style mailboxes is case-sensitive,
but only in the local-part of the e-mail address used to log in.
I know that per RFC-2822 the local-part MAY be case-sensitive, but
IMHO this is VERY uncommon. Plus, if you consider the case where you
have regular system users logging in, in this case the "local-part"
(read "login") is (or at least "should be") also case-insensitive.
Shouldn't we at least have a compile-time option to make authentication
case-insensitive also for the local-part?
Thanks,
Ralf
