Package: gthumb
Version: 3:2.6.3-1
Severity: normal
When I click on a thumbnail to copy an image to another directory,
a window with a 'Recent' list appears. In my case, the
following list appears:
~/tmp
tmp
tmp
tmp/pict080.jpg
~/tmp/pict080.jpg
I have two problems with this:
1) Duplicate entries are not very useful.
The ~/.gnome2/gthumb/recents file contains:
"~/tmp"
"/home/vmunoz/tmp/"
"tmp"
"/home/vmunoz/tmp/pict0080.jpg"
"~/tmp/pict0080.jpg"
No duplicate entries seeing the file, but it is not possible to
visually distinguish them in the 'Choose the destination folder' box's
'Recent' list.
2) Entries beginning with ~ are not recognized as valid:
"The destination folder does not exist. Do you want to create it?"
If I click "Create", the following message appears:
"Could not create folder "~/tmp": Generic error."
I don't know how those "~" entries appeared (I normally call gthumb
from the command line with some directory as argument, or change directory
typing in the box below the toolbar), but anyway
if they were registered as recent entries at some point, I would
expect them to be valid entries, either existent or possible to create.
Regards,
Victor
